Celebrate Your 60th Birthday Party

Some people tend to stop celebrating their birthdays’ so by the 60th birthday the special day goes by with hardly any notice at all. There’s no need to let this happen. Your birthday has no meaning unless you get up and celebrate it.

As you get older it might be fun to start celebrating your birthdays with themes from your youth. The Silver Screen era was a big hit and it can be a big hit as your party theme too. Watch old black and white movies, and have the guests come to the party all dolled up like their favorite movie stars. You can buy lots of silver glitter to toss around and to scatter on the buffet table as extra decoration. Silver and Black dangles to hang from the ceiling can add a lot to the atmosphere of the party.

Or you can find some napkins and other party supplies with the number sixty printed boldly on the paper and plastic. There are usually lots of party supplies out there that can be found with the appropriate age printed on them, tablecloths, balloons, banners, plates, and cups and so on. You may even be able to find some party favors to give to the guests that have a witty birthday remark printed on them with your age and name as well. Perhaps something like, “Pam loves her birthday because now she’s turned sixty.” It doesn’t really matter what remark you say because guests will be happy to receive something special to mark the occasion.

An outdoor party for your sixtieth celebration can provide lots of room for a large number of guests. The scenery can be very refreshing, especially if you tend to spend a lot of time indoors. Paper plates and tablecloths also make for very easy clean up while of course providing a lot of decoration and color.
