Never attempt to move something large, like a refrigerator, alone. Remove all parts, such as handles and hinges, from the appliance – anything that could shake loose or fall off of the refrigerator could end up being dangerous. Carefully store all parts removed from the appliance in a separate box, labeled, so that you'll know where these pieces are when you arrive at your destination.

Fully thaw and defrost your refrigerator and freezer ahead of moving day. This may seem inconvenient, but you'll need to have your appliance thawed before you try to move it, to avoid any problems with melting ice and condensation. Clean your refrigerator as well; it's a lot easier to do this before you move the appliance than after you get it to it's destination. Dry interiors after cleaning. Pack your refrigerator and freezer with soft cloths, lightweight blankets or even stuffed animals – this will help to keep the appliance stable and free of damage, without adding a lot of weight

Porter Cable Compressors

Porter-Cable compressors are compressors manufactured by Porter Cable Corporation. Although Porter-Cable compressors are mostly used for homes/small businesses, the manufacturer provides a large range of compressors, each one with its very own characteristics.

First of all, Porter-Cable compressors produce horsepower ranging from 0.8HP up to 7.5HP. The majority of Porter-Cable compressors produce 1 to 2HP.

Regarding the external characteristics of Porter-Cable compressors, they all come with a built-in red tank, and they are equipped with wheels or extra frames in order to provide better mobility solutions. The smallest compressors do not occupy more volume than a mini-table does, while the bigger ones are of the same size as a normal table or a medium-sized refrigerator.

Another characteristic among the various Porter-Cable compressors that has great impact on the final size of the compressor is tank size, which is measured in gallons. The smallest tank size is four gallons (~15.4 liters), while the largest is 80 gallons (~302.9 liters). There are three major categories of tank sizes. An important distinguishing characteristic of Porter-Cable compressors is whether they are oil-lubricated or oil-free. Although most Porter-Cable compressors are oil-free, the ones with the highest capacity and horsepower are not. To be specific, all compressors that have a capacity greater than 60 gallons are oil-lubricated. Smaller tank capacity compressors come in both oil-lubricated and oil-free models.

Pressure Gauges

Pressure gauges are the gauges used to monitor the pressure being exerted by a certain operation. There have been developments in enhancing the functions of pressure gauges in terms of measuring the increase or decrease in pressure level.

Pressure gauges have two classifications, the direct reading and the indirect reading. For the direct reading gauges, particle flux that incidentally touches the surface yields some form of pressure and the level of this force employed on the exterior is calculated. For the indirect reading gauges, the pressure results when a certain gas property is altered by the gas density in the usual manner.

Plants, whether power plants, mills or factories, are the common users of pressure gauges. Pressure gauges are present in the fluid system where there are spray nozzles and pumps. Pressure gauges that are properly maintained can lead to a long period of service for the plant. Assuming that the pressure gauge installed is of the appropriate size and design, you can expect that it will function accurately and smoothly.

There are two types of pressure gauges that are most commonly used. These are the traditional or regular and the filled gauges. The traditional or regular gauges are prone to the onset of the usual causes of gauge failures, which are water condensation as well as pipe vibration. Traditional or regular gauges have sensitive pinions, pivots and connecting links. Filled gauges are more reliable given its longer service life. The housing utilizes viscous oil that offsets the effects of both piper vibration and water condensation. In terms of their precision or accuracy, pressure gauges may be labeled as follows, from grade 4A or with 0.1% permissible error, up to grade D or with 5% permissible error.

Accessories are available that can protect pressure gauges. These helpful devices include the shutoff valve, snubbers or pulsation dampeners, pipe coils or siphons, and chemical seals. Pressure gauges equipped with these accessories are likely to help operate a plant efficiently.
